SOMEONE ELSE WILL
DIE SOON
she tells herself.
SOMEONE ELSE WILL DIE
AND I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE.
A few days after the first time you
walk in your sleep, you kill someone.
That's how the end begins.
Emma Montgomery has been having gruesome nightmares. Even worse, when she wakes up, she isn't where she was when she fell asleep. And she's not the only one. One by one the students of Saint Opportuna High start having nightmares, and sleepwalking. And the next morning one of their classmates turns up dead.
Something is making them kill in their sleep. Emma and her friends need to band together, to keep themselves awake until they can figure out what's behind the murders--before anyone else dies.
Thoughts:
This book made me so sad and it was not even a sad book. I'm sad because I didn't like Sleepless nearly as much as I expected it to. This is a perfect example of why you should never judge a book by its cover. Sleepless has one of the coolest and creepiest covers that I have seen, but it was not cool, and certainly not creepy.
I was expecting a thrill ride. Instead I got a less than thrilling book with a lot of pot smoking and boring characters. I don't usually mind drug use all that much in books, but it felt like someone was smoking pot, or thinking about it at least, every other paragraph.
The characters were so dull that I kept on getting them mixed up. They were really that interchangeable. A few times I was even glad when some of them died!
If there was anything I like about Sleepless I don't remember it now, two months after reading it, only the negative aspects stick out to me.

I agree. It was short but it took me forever to get through it. But--oh! The cover!
