Second best book of 09:

Feary Rebels by R.J. Anderson
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this less than appealing looking book when I started it. Well this would be a perfect example of why you should not judge a book by its cover! Feary Rebels was just incredible. I devoured it in a matter of hours. I'm now eagerly awaiting for the sequel Wayfarer.
Second crappiest worst book of 09:

The Hollow by Jessica Verday
500+ pages of words, words, and more words! This book literally put me to sleep! Abbey is sad her friend died, abbey spends the next 400 pages meeting some guy in a cemetery, a bunch of other boring stuff happens, and the book ends. ONLY...it isn't over because there will be a book two! I guess that you could keep both books as they are pretty heavy and would make perfect weapons, or you could just start reading the book to someone, that would probably scare them away.

One blogger to another, I'd recommend just highlighting the best books of the year. The worst ones have already had a negative review from you, why not let them alone?

I've seen Faery Rebels around but haven't picked it up because of the cover. Now I need to read it.
I haven't read The Hollow but now I'm glad I haven't. 500+ pages that can be used a weapon? I hope you didn't buy this book.

I haven't read either but Faery Rebels seem cute.

I really need to get around to read Faery Rebels. I've only heard great things about it.

But Sharon, I swore The Hollow was your favorite book of the year? ;)
Who would win in a fight?
Hush, Hush vs. The Hollow. Taking bets now!

Get the sequel to Hallow - I bet together they'd make a great doorstop!

I haven't read either of these books yet but your comments on the Hollow as a weapon made me giggle. :-D

I found a lot to like about The Hollow, but I'm definitely intending to read RJ Anderson's books so I'm hoping I like that one as much as you did. Second best of the year ain't too shabby.

Bad books as weapons... I never thought of that before! *evil grin*
