Tuesday, December 29, 2009
I got around $200 worth of book store gift cards this year. Like I really needed more books! I also got a new 6 foot bookshelf, so I suppose things have evened out. Here is what I got:
from Barnes and Noble:

Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder

Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse by Various

The Living Dead by Various- I've had both of these anthologies on my wishlist for quite some time now.

Invitation to the Game by Monica Hughes

Floodland by Marcus Sedgwick

The Carbon Diaries by Saci Loyd

Obernewtyn by Isobelle Carmondy

Truancy by Isamu Fukui
from Strand Books:

Truancy Origins by Isamu Fukui

Sharp North by Patrick Cave

Gemx by Nicky Singer

All Unquiet Things by Anna Jarzab- found a finished copy! Squee!

Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper

Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood by Eileen Cook

Well, what's the point of a new bookshelf if you can't overload it within the first couple weeks? LOL

I love Monica Hughes!! Invitation to the Game is good.
Here's a funny story that no one's gonna read 'cause I'm so badly behind on google reader...
Monica Huges wrote a book called My Name is Paula Popowich! (not sure of the spelling there, though) and in it, the MC Paula moved from Ontario to Saskatchewan. Which my mom and I did when I was 11 or 12. Lol :)
